This comic has landed in my very favorite things along with Adrien Lee’s _White Noise_ and Minna Sundberg’s _Stand Still Stay Silent_– the former is perhaps more similar, with very strong art improving and experimenting by the week, and extremely vivid characters dealing with mysteries and traumas.
I wonder if you are familiar with _The Property of Hate_ by Sarah Jolley? She is also making explicit narrative use of the comic frame, with a hare-jackalope? who can interact with the frames in order to move about in story-time– it used to update more frequently but has had to slow down due to the artist’s wrist and hand injuries, so Belle’s lecture to Amy rang mental bells 🙂 It’s an entirely different approach, but the motif similiar enough you might be interested to see how she handles it.
I can’t wait to receive the print comic! Would you like to see images of where I slap your raccoon stickers all over Austin? If there were a sticker with your URL, it might help more readers find your work– I would definitely affix them to places where curious readers’ eyes could find them, like coffeeshops and breakfast taco drive-through windows 🙂
Aa I’m so glad to hear! It’s an honor to hear Numb mentioned next to those works <3
I haven't heard of _The Property of Hate_, but I'll be sure to check it out. It sounds very interesting!
I hope the print arrives soon! I'd love to see where the raccoons end up so if you have a instagram or twitter account please make sure to tag me so I'll see it (my insta is @artofniinaeveliina and twitter @NSalmelin) 😀
Thank you once again for all the support! I'll think about including URL in my stickers, especially if I'll print out some Numb themed ones <3
Of course you wouldn’t be able to see beyond the wall, Levi, but that doesn’t mean that there’s nothing behind it. =3
As transformers opening would say, there’s more than meets the eye ;D
